Affiliate Members
- He must be a citizen of the Republic of the Philippines;
- He must be duly licensed to practice medicine in the Republic of the Philippines;
- He must have completed at least one year of residency training in Internal Medicine in a PCP-accredited training program and at the time of application.

Full Members
- He must meet all the qualifications and requirements as an Affiliate Member;
- He must be a Diplomate in Internal Medicine and certified accordingly by the Philippine Specialty Board of Internal Medicine (PSBIM);
- A letter of intent shall be addressed to the Board of Regents accompanied by payment of the corresponding membership dues for the first year if the application is approved.
